OBITUARY
Daniel Edward Kent
January 21, 1950 – June 19, 2018
KENT, Daniel Edward
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Daniel Edward Kent announces that he was taken to heaven too soon, on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the age of 68.
Dan was the loving husband of 46 years and best friend to Patricia (nee McCarty) and cherished Dad to Christine (Mike) Rushton and Daniel (Lindsay). Devoted, fun loving Buddy Buddy and Papa to Adam, Brianna, Alyssa, Olivia and Kinley. His grandchildren meant the world to him and he was so proud of them all.
Dan will be fondly remembered as a kind, gentle soul to his siblings Bernardine (Melvin) Dicks, Phil (Dolly), Gerald (Mary), Francis (Barb), Peter (Irene) and Mona (Dave) Schellenberger. He is predeceased by parents Dan and Anne (nee Brazil) Kent, his brother Jim and his sister Rosemary.
Dan was born in Bell Island, Newfoundland and moved to Galt in 1962. He worked at Franklin Manufacturing in Cambridge for 19 years and enjoyed fixing bikes and lawnmowers, playing cards and visiting with family. He was always there to lend a hand. Dan continues to live on as a donor through the Trillium Gift of Life.
Visitation will be held at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main St., Cambridge, ON (519-623-1290) on Friday, June 29 from 11:00 am until 12:00 p.m. and the Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon in the T. Little Chapel. Cremation has taken place.
If desired, memorial donations in memory of Dan can be made to the Cambridge Humane Society or The Canadian SADS Foundation, sads.ca. The family would also be honoured if Dan’s gift inspired others to become organ donors.
