LABRÈCHE- Damien Pierre 1924-2018
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Damien Pierre Labrèche on January 28th, 2018 at
Rapelje Lodge, Welland. Loving father of Linda Labrèche-Ventresca (Lindo Ventresca) and
Roger Labrèche. Cherished grandfather (Papa Dan) of Janson Lapalme and Alanna Lapalme. He
will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his
parents Paul and Elienne (LaPierre) Labrèche, his brothers Charlie & Sébastien and his sisters
Huguette Tomashewski and Jeannine Theroux.
Damien was a retiree from Hayes Dana. He enjoyed listening to country music, dancing and in
his spare time he loved travelling to visit relatives in Timmins, Hamilton, California and New
Mexico.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main
Street, Welland Thursday, February 1st, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at Paroisse Sacré Coeur on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Cremation will
follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations by cheque to the Parkinson Society
Southwestern Ontario will be appreciated by the family. Our sincere thanks to the dedicated
and caring staff at Rapelje Lodge.
