Dale Jardine
1951-2018
With deep sadness we report the sudden death of Dale Oakley
Jardine of Indian Mountain, Moncton, NB. On Tuesday evening, January
9, 2018, while returning from Saint Andrews where he and his youngest
son, Andrew, had gone to pick up a German shepherd puppy, Dale
suffered a traumatic car accident which claimed his
life.
Father and son were on a mission of Dale’s love for
animals, and fortunately Andrew, although suffering anguish in it all,
received only a broken arm along with scratches. And the puppy was
also spared.
In fact, the boys have taken “Teddy” to
their home in Dieppe. All three boys are like Dad – animal
lovers and they interpret this puppy as their dad’s final
gift to them; a silver lining to the tragedy this family is
enduring.
Dale is survived by his three sons: Matthew and his wife,
Sarah (Jenkins) Jardine; David and his girlfriend, Caitie White; and
Andrew. Other survivors are his mom, Phyllis Jardine and one brother,
Terry.
Dale will be remembered both as an extraordinary builder in
the Moncton area where as founder of Great Northern Construction, he
built many homes and other edifices, and as a devoted father to his
sons. He was a quiet family man.
The family will receive relatives and friends at a memorial
service to be held on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 1:30pm at
Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview
(869-2007). Rev. Mike Welsh of Agape Ministries in Riverview will be
officiating. In Dale’s memory, anyone who wishes to make
donations can give to Agape Ministries or the Greater Moncton SPCA.
