BIRD – Curtis Troy (Biggie)
Sunrise, November 1, 1991 – Sunset, November 19, 2018
On November 19,2018, Our loved one was suddenly called home to the Spirit world at the young age of 27 years.
He is predeceased by his Maternal Grandparents – Andrew and Florence Bird, Paternal Grandparents – Clifford and Marrion Taypotat, Brother Glen Jr, Niece Hunny Mae and Numerous Aunts & Uncles.
Curtis, had the heart and soul of a Warrior.
He was a son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend. Curtis always lived his life to the fullest and lovingly enjoyed being a dad to his two daughters Meleiya and Arizona and was overjoyed knowing that he was going to be blessed with a son in February 2019.
Curtis, was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter with the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Volunteer Fire Department. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing golf, fastball and hunting. He was also enjoyed working Security at the various Pow wows in and around his community. He was also a good friend to many and was always willing to help out others. We will all miss that smile, laugh, his many stories and his loving and caring nature.
Curtis, is survived by his loving wife Shelby A.D. Delorme, his daughters, whom he adored and loved; Meleiya, Arizona and soon to be born son.
He also survived by his loving Parents Cheryl (nee Bird) and Glen Alexson, his siblings Jerrilynn (Sheldon) Janelle, Caralee, Courtney, Cara, Caitlyn, Chantel, Crystal, Sidney (Jocelyn) Garrett, Greg, Kyle, and Darcy. Special Adopted Moms’ Lynn Bear, Candace Seitz. Special Friends Rusty Hotomani and Cameron Sangwais.
His In-laws: Mother in law Sandra (Owen) Delorme, Father in law Allen (Vera) Delorme, Sisters In-law: Tanya (Lewis) Delorme, Gaylene (Lonnie) Benjoe. Brothers In-law: Rylan (Candace) Delorme, and Sirayne Perkins.
As well as, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews and Friends.
The family would like to send a Special Thank you to the Cowessess First Nation Peacekeepers; Gloria Delorme and Angelica Melendez for their quick response and assistance.
Traditional wake will be held on Sunday, November 25th at the Community Complex, Kahkewistahaw First Nation at 4:00 p.m.. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Novermber 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the same location. Internment to follow in the Kahkewistahaw First Nation Cemetery.
In following proper protocol, the family requests that no children be in attendance at the wake after 8:00 p.m.
