Obituary of Clifford Byam
Clifford “Clyde” Byam
Clifford Lionel Cyril Byam, former Storekeeper of Tyrone General Store passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday May 8th, 2018 at the age of 83.
Predeceased by his parents Lionel and Ethel Byam, sisters Doreen Park and Yvonne Murdoch and a brother, Grenville Byam. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews: Cecile Bowers, Douglas Park, Alan Murdoch, Mark Murdoch, Tim Byam, Shelley Anderson, Laurie Mason and Heather Lynch and their spouses. Also, many great nieces and nephews plus cousins who all loved Cliff dearly.
Cliff’s love of motorcycles, old cars, memories of the Dirty Apron Race track, building the Trojan Horse and the Rocket, will never be forgotten. Also, the kiddies, now grown-ups still talk of the fun of buying their candy at Byam’s store, with Cliff’s teasing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Tyrone Community Centre on Sunday June 10th, 2018 from 1:30 – 5 pm. We are hoping all who ever knew him will come to enjoy a fun time of pictures, stories and remember a wonderful quiet man. Memorial Donations may be made to Glenhill Strathaven LTC or Bowmanville Memorial Hospital Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville.
