Obituary for Clifford “Marvin” Foisy
December 2, 1933 – November 28, 2018
In the late evening hours of November 28th Marv passed away peacefully at home with his wife and 2 daughters at his side.
While he was truly a very special & unique character he never saw himself that way. So there will be no flowery rhetoric highlighting his life or extolling his virtues. Suffice to say that, to those of us who knew him best, liked him unconditionally and loved him dearly, he was, is and always will be quite simply “The Best”.
He lived life on his own terms and did so with love, levity & much laughter.
So when you think of him, we hope you’ll do so with a smile on your face, love in your heart, a beer in your hand, laughter in your eyes and a great story on your lips. He’d like that.
Marv will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Pat, beloved children Stewart (Deb), Sherry (Dale) Gairdner, Gord (Tina), Gail (Steve) Goyer & Brian, his dear sister Germaine Kachaluba, his eleven grandchildren especially his great buddies Matt & Nick Goyer, & his 8 great grandchildren.
As per Marv’s wishes there will be no service or memorial. All those wishing to remember Marv may do so by making a donation to either the Kootenay Wildlife Heritage Fund (PO Box 100, Kimberley, B.C. V1A 2Y5) or the Kimberley Public Library.
Never pass up an opportunity to enjoy the beauty around us whether it be climbing a mountain, watching a sunrise, listening to a bird’s song or any activity that will take you into nature.
