Obituary of Clayton Hodgkins
HODGKINS, CLAYTON: At St. Catharines General Hospital on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, Clayton Ross Hodgkins passed away at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Isabel Catherine Snyder (2010). Loving father of Joanne Battersby (Scott), Janet Joyner (Daryl), and Marianne Brandt (Fred). Cherished by his grandchildren Tricia DeBoer (Jeff), Dylan Battersby (Jenny), Daaron Joyner (Mandy), Janelle Delbove, (Crescenzio/Chris), Kurt Brandt (Nina), Kyle Brandt (Laura), and his great-grandchildren Stephanie DeBoer, Ryan DeBoer, Hunter Joyner, Matteo Delbove, Alivia Delbove, Elena Delbove, Rose Brandt, George Brandt, Caden Brandt, and Colby Brandt. Predeceased by his brother Clifford Hodgkins (the late Doris). Clayton and his wife Isabel owned and operated Hodgkins Hardware in Smithville for 36 years. Visitation at Merritt Funeral Home, 287 Station Street, Smithville on Friday, January 5 from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Smithville Presbyterian Church, 143 St. Catharines Street, Smithville on Saturday, January 6 at 2:00 pm. Interment Union Cemetery, Smithville. Memorial donations to Smithville Presbyterian Church or Toronto Sick Kids would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the funeral home.
