It is with great sadness that the family of the late Claude Samson Webb announce his passing on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre at the age of 89 years. Claude was a longtime employee of Canada Post. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Elaine (Paul) Whelan, Pasadena, Greg (Fiona) Webb, Pasadena and Janice (Scott) Gaudet, Stephenville; grandchildren: Marc (Melanie) Whelan, Ian (Maryam) Whelan, Gregory (Kayla) Whelan, Bruce (Amanda) Webb, Jana (Drew) Webb and Joy (Andy) Webb; great-grandchildren: William and Matthew Whelan and Willow Webb; sister Gertie Buckle; brother Clayton Webb; sister-in-law Rose Whiteway; and brother-in-law Garland Burt; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Webb, October 23, 2018, parents Lancelot and Maude Webb, sister Molly Blundon, brothers Kevin, Carl and Duncan Webb. A special thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff of the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with the Very Rev. Catherine Short. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stoke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family guest book may be signed by visiting www.fillatre.ca.
