Obituary for Clarence “Clare” Rolph
CLARE ROLPH
Clare Rolph, 84, of Mitchell passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.
He will be missed by his loving companion Helen, sons Brad (Tanya) and Dale (Katrina), grandchildren Alexandra, Declan, (their mother Terri) and Ian, and step-granddaughter Barbra and her children Emma and Hayley. Dear brother of Ken Rolph and Barry Rolph (Doris). Dear brother-in-law of Norma Rolph, Joan Rolph, Norlene Bennewies, Ruthanne Stinson (Walter), Hugh Dietz (Doris), Paul Dietz (Dianne), Barry Dietz (Elaine) and Barbara Higgins (Wayne). Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Dib and Beatrice Rolph, wife Joan Rolph (2010), brothers Don and Darrell Rolph, chosen brother Alf Whaley, sisters-in-law Shirley, Jane and Helen Rolph and brother-in-law Willard Bennewies.
Clare enjoyed a successful banking career which allowed him the opportunity to work and make friends throughout Ontario. He retired to his hometown of Mitchell and enjoyed travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Dunbar officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Spring interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brodhagen. Memorial donations to the Cancer Society and Main St. United Church Building Fund may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
