It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine (Chris) Anne More. Her husband Bill is so sad to have to say goodbye to such a beautiful, courageous and vivacious partner of 50 plus years. She is survived by her son Jeffrey More and daughter Kathleen More, sisters-in-law Lynn Benn, Sheila Cutler (More) and Lolly Parsons, niece Marta Cutler and nephew Tod Cutler and marvellous new dog Charlie. Chris met Bill as an arranged blind date at the young age of 23 in Barrie, Ontario. At that time, she headed up the female division of Drake Personnel in Kitchener, Waterloo. After an exhaustive interview with Chris, Bill landed the job as her future husband and they were married in Barrie on March 16th in the Catholic Church. Moving to Vancouver in 1970 with their black Labrador retriever (SIR), that was the hook to her living with Bill at Horseshoe Valley full time for a year, in addition to Bill running the Ski School for 6 years. Chris managed Career Personnel in Vancouver for several years before becoming a partner in the 15th franchise of CruiseShipCenters anchored in Burnaby. That opened up the opportunity to see much of the world over the next 22 years and meet so many wonderful people who have provided so many memories for both of us. Chris has struggled with Parkinson’s for the last 4 years and latterly with Lewy Body Dementia. She loved life and embraced so many friends that were so precious and supportive of her wonderful life ending in Vernon. She will be sorely missed by her marvellous caregivers Karen Baker and Connie Burt. Celebrations of her life will be held at future dates in Vernon, BC, St. Thomas, ON, Puerto Vallarta, MX and Vancouver. Thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at the Vernon Jubilee hospital, she passed peacefully with her family at her side. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkinson Society British Columbia.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Christine Anne More April 22nd 2018.source
