Christina Maude O’HARA 2018

OBITUARY
Christina Maude O’HARA
August 27, 1918 – November 14, 2018
After a wonderful life of 100 years, our beloved Mum, Nana, and Aunt peacefully passed away at Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
Maude was a loving, strong and empowering woman who led by example with a ‘can-do’ attitude. She was blessed with good health into her nineties and remained at home until July, 2018. Her final four months were spent at Menno Hospital where she received wonderful care and support. She was an avid gardener, an accomplished baker, and a prankster with quick wit that brought many smiles to all those around her.
Maude was born and raised on a farm in Mac Gregor, Manitoba; it was there that she met the love of her life, Tom O’hara. They married in Abbotsford, British Columbia in 1949 and together they raised their daughter, Velma. In 1961 they started their own business which is still in operation today.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughter and son-in-law, Velma & Brian, and her loving granddaughters, Laura & Lisa. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 42 years, Tom in 1992.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford, BC. Interment to follow at Hazelwood Cemetery.
