It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Charlotte Powell on November 8th, 2018, at her home. She was a very young 87. Predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Michael Edward (2001). Beloved mother of Elizabeth (Jeremy), David (Judith) and Jeffrey (Joanne). Proud Nan of Emily (Emanuel), Andrew (Stephanie), Catherine (Aakash), Christopher (Emily), Jonathan, Michael (Alicia), Nicole (Simon), and Sarah (Ben). Ecstatic great grandmother of Kevin, Clara, Amy, Charlotte Marie, Ella and Russell. Dearest sister of Freddy Bristol (Marilyn). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and the staff of Powell Insurance. She IS the glue that binds our family. Charlotte was raised on the family farm in Ancaster, Ontario. Shortly after her marriage to Eddy, they co-founded M. Edward Powell Insurance Brokers and built it into a business that she continued to work at throughout the rest of her life. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, in Oakville, where her funeral will be held on Thursday, November 15th at 11:00 a.m.. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 14th at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte’s memory to Big Brothers Big Sisters Halton and Hamilton, The Canadian Cancer Society, or Community Living North Halton–Saturday Centre. We will never be the same as we were before this loss, but are ever so much better for having someone so great to lose.
