Charlotte Hynes 1936 2018

Charlotte Hynes died June 18, 2018, in Victoria, BC.
She is predeceased by her nephew, John Takacs, and her niece, Annette Beaubien. She is survived by her sisters: Margaret Beaubien, Victoria BC; Pat Hynes, Seattle WA; and Nora Hynes, Victoria BC. She is lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Charlotte worked in the business world before returning to school where she obtained her Master’s Degree. Following this, she became an excellent instructor at Camosun College. After leaving Camosun she was employed by St. Andrew’s Cathedral for 10 years and St. Patrick’s Parish for 5 years in the financial/accounting department.
Her passions were her Catholic faith, family, friends and her great love of music, especially piano which she shared with many people. Her other strong passion was baseball, a sport she knew like the back of her hand. She had a strong sense of integrity and was greatly loved by her family and friends from many areas of her life.
Prayers will be offered on Saturday, June 24, 2018, at 7:00 pm in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018, at 12 noon at St. Andrew’s Cathedral 740 View St, Victoria, BC with Father Michael Tran officiating. Burial to follow at Hatley Memorial Gardens, 2050 Sooke Rd, Victoria, BC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Vincent De Paul, 4353 West Saanich Road, Victoria BC, V8Z 3E8.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Layne Woodburn, the Community Health and Victoria Hospice nurses.
