Obituary of Charles Kipper
CHARLES ROBERT KIPPER
On Friday, February 9, 2018, the world lost a devoted husband, father, musician, composer, teacher, and friend. He was a cherished and beloved husband to Mai and loving father to Elli. Charles was born April 23, 1951 in Toronto to Artemi and Alice Kipper. Charles was a pillar of the Estonian community. He was the conductor of many choirs, sought after accompanist to many soloists, and participated in all aspects of the community. He retired from teaching Vocal Music and Music Theatre at Rosedale Heights School for the Arts and then found a new passion playing piano for ballet classes at the National Ballet School of Canada and several other dance studios in Toronto. He will be greatly missed by the Estonian and music communities.
The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 16th. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17th at 11:00 a.m. in the Toronto Estonian Baptist Church, 883 Broadview Avenue.
If desired, donations may be made to the Toronto Estonian Baptist Church or the Estonian Foundation of Canada directed to the Toronto Estonian Male Choir. Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
