Charles Robert Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM, Charles (Joe)
It is with great sadness that the family of Charles (Joe) Robert Cunningham announces his death on Wednesday may 2, 2018 at University Hospital. Charles was born in London, On. Almost 87 years ago. Until recently, he has resided in Knollwood Park for 84 years in the house built by his grandfather. For 33 years, he taught French to students at Wheable and Central Secondary Schools. In addition, he coached students athletes in football and hockey throughout his teaching career. Charles was a graduate or U.W.O., U of T and Sorbonne. His parents Charles and Hazel Cunningham are both deceased. Charles is survived by his brother Stuart and sister-in-lae Cathy and by his sister Judy Osborne of Nepean and her late husband David; uncle to Jennifer, Joel, Lisa, Jane and Mike and their families- Natasha, Tyler, Derek, Brian, Delaney, Drake and Steven. He was an excellent high school athlete and played with the Western Mustangs during his university days. Charles was a member of the Kilwinning Lodge. Thanks top Dr. Jethwa and Dr. Stack and more recently the ninth floor Team at University Hospital for the medical attention that Charles has received. Also , thanks to family friends Mary dent and randy and Judy for their care and concern. A complete Funeral Service will be held at Needham Funeral Service (520 Dundas St, London) on Monday May 7, 2018 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. Keith McKee of St Georges Presbyterian Church officiating. Donations in memory Charles to the Humane Society would be appreciated. Tributes may be made at www.needhamfuneralhome.com
