at the age of 60 years
A celebration of life will be held at Fischer’s Funeral Chapel in Salmon Arm on June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
Deb passed away in the early morning hours of May 23, 2018 leaving behind many people who will miss her dearly including her common law husband of 28 years, Dave Harvey of Sicamous, her brothers Doug (Arlene) of Tappen, Laurence (Lisa) of Revelstoke, Gary of Revelstoke and Dan of Kamloops, her younger sister Lisa (Steve) Levesque of Lac La Biche, AB as well as many nieces and nephews and many other “almost family” and friends. Deb was predeceased by her father Raymond Leslie Channell on Jan. 28, 1981 and her mother, Bertha Joan Channell on May 17, 2014.
Deb was born in McBride, BC and lived and went to school in Dunster, BC and then for three years in Mica until 1972 when her family moved to Revelstoke where she graduated from high school in 1976. She worked in Revelstoke for many years in Hospitality and then the Forest Industries. In the fall of 1990 she moved to Sicamous and soon went to work for the District of Sicamous where she worked for many years. Deb was an avid traveller and made many trips to faraway lands including New York, Fiji and the Cook Islands, Australia and New Zealand, Costa Rica, Thailand and Vietnam.
