Obituary of Celia Frederick
Frederick, Celia
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday July 7, 2018 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Lee Frederick. Cherished mother of Lorri Frederick (Walter) and Brent Frederick (Tracy). Proud grandmother of Kelsey, Kailyn, Karlee and Quinn. Sadly missed by her siblings Ken Currie (Carol), Ron Currie (Carole), Elaine Clapperton, Phyllis Knox (Alan), sisters-in-law Margie and Norma Currie and her many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her siblings John Currie, Lawrence Currie and Lloyd Currie as well as her parents Beatrice and Edgar Currie. Celia loved spending time with her family and especially with her four grandchildren. She loved cooking and caring for others. Travel was a passion and especially trips to Las Vegas, Stratford and Niagara on the Lake. Celia was an avid bridge player and an accomplished curler. Her home and her garden were her sanctuary. A special thank you to her physicians Dr. Vigars and Dr. Leckie and to the staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre who cared for her in her final hours. Also a very special thank you to her home care nurse, Bonita who treated her like family and cared for her during the past few months. Respecting Celia’s wishes, a Private service will be held at Martyn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Nipissing Serenity Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Online condolences at www.martynfh.com
