Obituary for Catherine Maud Pinhey (Knight)
Surrounded by her family at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice on Saturday January 27th, 2018, at the age of 88. Daughter of the late Ezzie James Knight and Mary Barclay. Beloved wife of the late C. Dyson Pinhey. Cherished mother of Cathy (Donald Thibodeau), Margot (Peter Ashfield), Randy, Sandra and Jeffrey (Carol Dubue). Dear mother-in-law of Maureen Tracey. Proud Grandma of 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Retired from Nepean Hydro after 29 years. Faithful member of St. Richard’s Anglican Church for over 50 years. Special thanks to the staff at The Ravines Retirement Residence for their exceptional care. Our family is grateful for the extraordinary care Mom received from the Ottawa Hospital, the Cancer Centre, the Palliative Care Team, and the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O’Connor) on Tuesday January 30th from 6-8 pm and Wednesday January 31st from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Julian of Norwich (formerly St. Richard’s) Anglican Church, 7 Rossland Avenue on Thursday, February 1st at 11 am. Memorial donations to Hospice Care Ottawa or Julian of Norwich Anglican Church would be appreciated.
