Obituary Overview
Catherine H. “Kay” LeBlanc
Catherine H. “Kay” LeBlanc passed away peacefully on December 30th, 2017 at the QE11 Health Sciences Center, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Logan.
She worked at the Flamingo Restaurant for over 25 years as a cook. Her favorite pass times were playing bingo, crib & watching wrestling and knitting premi hats for the Children’s Hospital. She ran a senior crib at St. Theresa’s Church for many years. Her cat Angel gave her comfort and love and will miss her dearly.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Martin, 6 daughters; Rosemarie Evans Lr. Sackville, Donna & Craig Logan, Sheet Harbor, Diana and Grant Roma, Chezzetcook, Mary and Rick Clark, Brookside, Brenda and Ward Markie, Truro, Janie and Robert Delaney, Trenton, 2 sons; Paul at home, Halifax, Peter (Sally) Leblanc, Sydney, CB, 3 sisters; Shirley Joyce, Halifax, Lillian McOnie, Halifax, Christine Lepage, Ontario, a brother Marcel Logan, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Kay leaves behind a legacy of 5 generations.
In addition to her parents, Kay was predeceased by sons; James, Michael, & Elliott, brothers; Alex, Irvin, Guy, Reginald, Barry and Allan and a sister Florence.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 1:00-3:00 pm, followed by a memorial service, all in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax. Burial at a later date.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the QE11 Health Sciences Center for their exceptional care of Catherine.
