Carolyn Mae Moffatt
Moffatt, Carolyn Mae, 71, Yarmouth passed away November 12,2018 in The Meadows Home for Special Care. Born in Yarmouth July 28,1947 she was a daughter to the late Lewis and Mildred (Rhyno) Hubbard. Carolyn drove a taxi in her earlier years, then pursued a career at Harris Seafood Restaurant. She loved to do leather work and did so for over 50 years. She also worked with jewellery and plastic canvas. She was a lover of all animals, a strong-willed individual who loved and enjoyed bluegrass music and the Exhibition. She is survived by daughter Colleen Moffatt, Yarmouth; son Dale Moffatt, Yarmouth; granddaughter Carrie; sister in law Shirley Hubbard. She was predeceased by her parents as well as husband Wallace Moffatt and brother John Hubbard. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation will be held November 24,2018 from 1-2 pm followed by a Memorial service at 2 pm in the Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth with Rev. Robert Gates officiating . Burial will be in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Memorial Donations May be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, SPCA or the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
