Obituary

Rivest – Carol Janet
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Carol Janet Rivest at the Ottawa Riverside Hospital on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018. Born in Montréal, Québec on January 8th, 1936, daughter of George William and Florence (née Duguay) Corby. Beloved wife for 49 years of Claude Rivest (deceased 2009). Loving mother of Leanne Rivest (Jacques Gagnon) of Ottawa, and of Robert Rivest (Jeraldyn) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and proud grandmother to Sebastian (16) and Tristan (10). She is also missed by close family members, Antoine (Corri), and Alexandre (Kathleen) Gagnon and their beautiful children Benjamin, Audrey, Aleksei, Olivier, and Paige. She lived a full, wonderful life, and was an inspiration to all who knew her. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 27th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Tubman , Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean. Ceremony will be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
