Carl Edward Horsman
1958-2018
Carl Horsman of Indian Mountain passed away suddenly at The
Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Born in Moncton, he was
the son of the late Austin and Mabel (Melvin) Horsman. Carl had been
employed at Royal Oaks Golf Course in ground maintenance for the past
four years.
Carl was a true outdoorsman having never worked inside a day
of his life. Even in his spare time he was outside puttering around in
“his woods” with his dog Chance in tow. He spent his very
last day in his woods gathering hardwood and enjoyed the evening
celebrating a victory as he watched his team, the Toronto Maple Leafs,
win game three in the first round of the playoffs. He will always be
remembered for the many years of sleighrides, fishing trips,
tobogganing, bonfires and the traditional family and friends wiener
roast!
Carl will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 28 years,
Cindy; sisters Shirley Lewis (Frank) of Indian Mountain and Lorna
Horsman (Robert Ramey) of Moncton; his special nieces and nephews whom
he loved dearly; mother-in-law Ruby Steeves; brother-in-law Allan
Steeves; his extended family of neighbours; and of course, his best
companion, Chance.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview, NB., E1B 0E4 (869-2007) on Thursday, April 19, from 2-4 and
6-8pm. A funeral service will take place at Cobb’s Funeral
Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 with Rev.
Jerry Horsman officiating. The interment will take place in
Stilesville Cemetery at a later date. Donation can be made to Friends
of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or Stilesville Cemetery. Online
