Carl Douglas Weatherbee
1940-2018
Carl Douglas Weatherbee – 78,
Hockeyville, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving
family, on Monday, December 10, 2018. Born in Truro Heights,
he was a son of the late Carl and Leona (Connolly) Weatherbee, Truro
Heights.
Carl retired from Scotsburn Dairy, where he drove
a frozen food truck for many, many years. His love
of horses took him to the Pony Club grounds in Salmon River and the
test barns at Truro Racetrack. He was a past member and an honorary
member of Salmon River Fire Brigade. The past few years you would find
Carl behind the counter at Deuville’s Rink, selling treat
bags and goodies to all the little hockey players and some of the
bigger ones, too!
Along with his parents, Carl was predeceased by
his brother, Edgar. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years,
Darlene (Deuville) and his children, Shawn (Lisa, granddaughters Holly
& Breanna), Tracy Lynn Boutilier (Steven, grandsons Hayden and
Mackenzie) and Darren (Tricia and granddaughters Paige and Kaitlyn).
Carl was extremely proud of his children and their families and
enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow into the wonderful young
adults they are today – from Hayden and his hockey,
Mackenzie’s bowling and gaming to Paige and
Kaitlyn’s own love of horses and dance. He was filled with
pride when Holly graduated with her nursing degree, to be followed by
Breanna a few years later. He is also survived by his sister-in-law,
Jennie, Saint Albert, AB; his nephews and niece out west; many, many
in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins of the Deuville family
here in Truro.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~

“Grief
never ends… but it changes. It is a passage, not a place
to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of
faith. It is the price of
love.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carl Douglas Weatherbee 19402018..
