Obituary
August 24, 1921 – February 8, 2018 It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth Butler. Ken was predeceased by his wife Joyce Butler and granddaughter Karla Huston. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Tyrone (Marg) Butler and Dawn (Al) Spani, grandchildren Pennie Mathieson, Kim (Ron) Tanguay, Troy (Nadene) Butler and Sondra Butler (Ron), and great-grandchildren Heather, Trey, Courtney, Cedar and Kohen, who were the light of his life. Born in Poole, Dorset, England, Ken moved his family to Powell River in 1957, where he raised his children. He was a sign painter for MacMillan Bloedel, fulfilling his passion for painting, art and design. Ken enjoyed life to the fullest, playing the organ, ballroom dancing, boating, travelling and, most of all, art. The family wishes to thank his number-one caregiver Darlene Rekve, his doctor, all the nurses and staff at Willingdon Creek Village who cared for him. A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Royal Canadian Legion (basement). Forever in our hearts.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Butler Kenneth Charles Harry Ken August 24 1921
