Life Legacy
ANDERSON, Bryan Morris ‘Bigfoot’ – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday March 29, 2018 at the age of 76. ‘Everything in its place,’ a motto he lived by. Bryan was a special man that raised four children and was loved by all of them. He was what some would refer to as a ‘true gentleman’, quiet and methodical. Bryan dedicated his entire career to General Motors, his steadfast and reliable nature allowed him to thrive and retire from there to play golf! Bryan’s motto suited him well; by nature he was organized and found solace in routine. We are certain that his bright cognitive mind, right to the end, was due to 50 years of daily cross-word puzzle challenges. Bryan was a lover of many things, outside of his family, he loved golf all his life. He played it, he watched it and he discussed it (with maybe a bet or two here and there). Bryan loved Rolling Meadows Golf Course and spending days by the water in Chippawa enjoying beers with his buddies. The Buffalo Bills played an important role in his life; in fact he loved all kinds of sports and watched incessantly if he wasn’t out and about. Many knew Bryan as a skilled gardener who would dispense his gardening advice and lend a hand to many! The family wishes to acknowledge a few people who stand out to us as beloved and connected to Bryan. Special thank you to his friends that were by his side during his illness, especially his brother Tom and his dear friend Dick. To Mo at Avondale and Joe at 7-Eleven who saved him his Buffalo News everyday. To Donna White at Ivan’s for her thoughtful present to Bryan while in hospital. To the first responders who arrived at his home to take Bryan back to hospital. You all were superb, a testament to goodness in your professions. We salute you. A huge thank you to Jolene Courchene his Patient Navigator, for all her assistance navigating the Niagara Health System. To the NHS staff, especially Chris Taylor and Ashley Buck, Bryan looked so forward to your visits. To the emergency room staff at Niagara Falls General Hospital, you were so compassionate and attentive in his final days. We hope all people are treated with love and respect such as this. Bryan was the beloved son of Esther and James (both predeceased). He was a loving husband to Margaret for 40 years. Super Bowl Sunday will always serve as a reminder of their love. Bryan was a caring father of Joseph (Ronalee), Michelle (Geoff), David (Carina) and Elizabeth. He adored his grandchildren including Cole (Megan), Olivia, Darrien, Jerrod, Tristen, Quinten, Cassandra, Sterling, Victoria and Colton ‘Ghostbuster’. Great-grandfather of Aiden and Riley. Bryan will be sadly missed by his sister Dianne (the late Terry) McTrivish and his brother Tom (Liz) McBride. He will be fondly remembered by Shari (Mark) and Scott (Cathy). Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. In keeping with Bryan’s wishes, family, friends, colleagues and neighbors are invited to celebrate his life, his way on Thursday April, 5 from 12 pm to 3 pm at The Chippawa House, 3876 Main St. Niagara Falls (Chippawa) and from 5 pm to 7 pm at Ivan’s Bar, 7188 Dorchester Rd. Niagara Falls. Online condolences at www.pattersonfuneralhome.com Go Bills Go!
