Obituary of Brian Wills
July 18, 1953 – June 30, 2018
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Wills on June 30, 2018 at the age of 64 years.
Brian was born July 18, 1953 in Beaverlodge, Alberta. He was the proud son to Douglas and Agnes Wills. Brian was raised and schooled in Beaverlodge. After school, Brian worked both at the Canfor Plywood Mill and Canfor Sawmill. Brian decided to join the Canadian Armed Forces in March of 1976. He was proudly part of the PPCLI and served in the UN Peace Keeping Forces in Cyprus and served in West Germany during the 1980’s. Brian then stationed in Calgary, Wainwright, Beaverlodge, and then Edmonton where he retired from the Armed Forces in December of 1997. Brian’s greatest joy was the birth of his son, Harley in 1984. Although Harley lived just a short time, he often reflected on what if Harley had lived and what he would have taught him. Brian will now join Harley as his ashes will be spread on the same mountain top.
Brian is survived by his mother, Agnes Wills of Hythe, Alberta; sisters, Gloria (Jim) Sims, Lorraine (Martin) Seneko, Wendy (Greg) Canam, Eunice (Bob) Libycz; brothers, Danny (Karen), Ralph (Fran), Barry (Kelly), and John (Rose). He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Brian was predeceased by his son, Harley; father, Douglas; and siblings, Raymond, Yvonne, Lucy, and Scott.
A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverlodge on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
