Brian Keith Enman 19552018

Brian Keith Enman
1955-2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Brian Keith Enman, age 63, on December 2, 2018, with family by his
side. Loved by family and friends alike, he will be dearly
missed.
He was born to Kilburn (Kippy) and Rita (Hachey) Enman on
March 13, 1955. He is survived by his sons Bryan (Jeanette)
and Keith (Serena); Grandchildren Hailey, Abby, Eric and Bradley;
Mother Rita; Brother Kilburn (Kip) Enman; Sisters Deborah (Doug)
Gallant, Alice (Kevin) McCarville, and Rita Crowe; Nieces, Nephews,
and numerous relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his father
Kippy and his wife of 39 years, Anne Marie (Cormier)
Enman.
In 1974, he began work at Saint John Shipbuilding becoming a
pipefitter in UA Local 213. He continued as a pipefitter for
the next 42 years until his retirement in 2016. No matter
where he was, he was always happy to “talk shop”
with his fellow Brothers and Sisters from Local 213. He
could talk for hours about his profession and found great enjoyment in
doing so with his friends.
He loved his weekend retreat at “The
Lake”. Spending time at South Oromocto Lake was a
huge part of his life. At The Lake, he loved hunting,
fishing, card games, horse shoes, or just hanging out in his chair
looking out into the lake. Most of all, he loved telling
stories around the bonfire, making everyone laugh, including
himself. He could always be counted on to help out anyone on
the beach, any way he could. His Grandkids will miss their
weekend trips to The Lake to see their Papa. Special thanks
to Darren and Michelle Brooks and Troy and Francine Butler for the
strong friendship and support they provided over the past 4 years at
The Lake since his wife’s passing.
Thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John
Regional Hospital for the compassionate care they provided during this
difficult time. Doctors, Nurses, LPN’s,
PSW’s, Volunteers, and all others involved are to be
commended for the respectful care they provided.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111
Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation
will be held on Wednesday, December 5 and Thursday, December 6 from
2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be held from
Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, December 7 at 10 AM.
Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a
reception to following at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 53, Jervis
Bay. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the
charity of your choice.
