Bosiljka Zivano Kornja
July 2, 1925 – December 28, 2018
Passed away on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Forest Heights Long Term Centre at the age of 93.
Born in Kruscia, Yugoslavia on July 2, 1925. She immigrated to Canada on February 26, 2002, to join her family and live out her retirement. In the old country she had a farm and raised sheep with her husband. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
Bosiljka was predeceased by her husband Ilia, daughter Persa Zalac and sisters Stanka and Marina. Loving mother of Viora (Josam) Surducian and Ilia Kornja. Mother in law to Jonel Zalac. Grandmother to Andrew Surducian, John Surducian, Marinika (Carol) Zalac, and Stella (Ted) Tamas. Cherished Baba to Abigail, Austin, Anthony, Brandon, Briana, Haleigh (Justin), Caitlyn, and Sebastian. Great-Great Grandmother to Jaymon.
Bosiljka’s family will receive relatives and friends at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener, (519-743-8900) on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 7 – 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m., where the funeral service will be held in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Williamsburg Cemetery.
