Obituary for Bob Hammer
HAMMER, Paul Robert “Bob” 1931-2018-Passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday, June 29, 2018. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Henry). Loving father of Debbie and her husband Donald Mitchell. Grandfather of Lindsay (Zack), Kristopher (Brooke), Drew (Dayna) and great-grandfather of Russell and Cooper. Remembered dearly by Heather and Frank Karley and their children Matthew (Laci), Morgan and Bailee. Will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters; Gerald, Edward, Jeannette, Ann, Lucille and Carol. Predeceased by his parents; Philip Hammer and Elizabeth Schumacher, brothers; Donald, Charles, Philip and Michael. Bob was a very kind and gentle man. He was a carpenter by trade and finished his career at Traugott Construction. He also worked on many projects in Linwood over the years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling and spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them the art of carpentry. Friends may call at the FUTHER-FRANKLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1172 Henry Street, Wellesley on Tuesday from 1:30 till 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers at 1:45 p.m. Funeral Services to St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 1043 Isabella Street, Linwood for funeral Mass on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Clements Catholic Cemetery, St. Clements. Father Martin Mikulski S.A.C. officiating. Special thanks to Dr. Edmonds and the nursing staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.
