1919-2018
REXTON, NB – Blanche Richard 99, of Rexton passed
away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Friday, October
26, 2018. Born in St-Gabriel, she was the daughter of the
late Fabian Arsenault and late Anna (Richard) Arsenault. She
attended St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in
Richibucto.
Blanche will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Claudette
Robichaud (Denis) of Moncton, Pauline Richard (Oliver) of Dartmouth,
NS, Angella Beers (Ronald) of Rexton, Dorine Breau (Georges) of
Miramichi, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren and
three great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Marguerite Rose
Richard of Sarnia, ON, Roseanne Richard of Bouctouche; three
sisters-in-law, Rosline Weagle of MASS, May Melanson of Mass, Lorette
Arsenault of Memramcook and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
Edgar Richard; two sons, Bernard, Conrad; two sisters, Lydia Maillet
(late Albert), Annette Cormier (late Alphonse); and four brothers,
Zoel, Laurie, Tilmon and Father Paul
Arsenault.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Monday at noon
until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis de
Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in
Blanche’s memory may be made to the NB Heart &
Stroke Foundation or to the Rexton Lions Nursing Home. The
family wish to express a special heartfelt thank you to the staff at
the Rexton Lions Nursing Home for all the loving care Blanche
received. Arrangements are in care of Thompsons Funeral
Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
