Bill Andrieshyn
It is with sadness that Bill has passed from our lives on December 31st, 2017 but he has left us so many happy and cherished memories.
Bill was well known in Arborg and Fisher Branch. For over 40 years, Bill was a proud and dedicated worker at Riverdale Workshop and for the Town of Arborg and rarely took a sick day. He was an active Special Olympian participating in numerous bowling tournaments.
A life well lived. Bill enjoyed his sister’s and late mother’s home cooked meals, as well as dining at A&W in Selkirk) and Chicken Chef in Arborg, cruising around town and spinning tires with his brother-in-law, Henry. Bill thoroughly enjoyed listening to Ukrainian music, as shown by his extensive collection of Ukrainian tapes and CDs. Bill loved to dance, especially a hot polka.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Pauline (nee Genyk), and brother-in-law Orville Michaleski. He is survived by his sisters Pat Michaleski and Iris (Henry) Kolada and brother Michael (Fran) along with numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews, especially William Kolada (his name sake).
Bill could touch people with his smile, his gentleness, his charming disposition and his off the cuff “one liners.” Despite recent medical challenges, Bill will always be remembered and cherished for his jovial and loving ways. He was a kind and considerate soul.
Our family would like to acknowledge the devotion and compassion bestowed upon Bill by the staff of Betel Home in Selkirk, Riverdale Home and Workshop in Arborg.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
“Bill, you will be missed. Your memories will always
be alive and vivid to all whom you touched.”
