Betty Hulley (Leitch)
Betty passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital, on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Born on February 12, 1925, Elizabeth May Hulley of Seaforth, formerly of Dutton, was in her 94th year. Betty lived her life with ways of love, kindness and caring. Her smile was radiant and her friendly demeanour brightened the lives of her family, friends and community.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank, and her children Sharon Mote (Larry) of Sarnia, Thomas McKenzie (Cheryl Chapman) of Calgary, Janice Hoffman (Merrill) of Parry Sound, Janet Sloetjes of Dutton and Nancy Hoffman (Pete Redmond) of St. Thomas. Cherishing memories of a special grandma are grandchildren Victor, Michelle, Jason, Dwight, Kenneth, Nicol, Adam and Bradley, along with seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her daughters Mary Margaret McKenzie, Vickie McKenzie, parents Albert and Mary Jane (née Gowanlock) Leitch, son-in-law Derk Sloetjes, and granddaughter Margaret Hoffman.
Honouring Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception at Northside United Church, Seaforth.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. Condolences can be forwarded by visiting Betty’s online memorial at www.mcglynnfamilyfuneralhome.com
