1940-2018
Betty Lou Taylor, age 78, passed away peacefully on December 5th 2018
at home.
Born in Middle Cornwall, she was the daughter of the late Sadie
Barkhouse and Enos Barkhouse.
Betty was predeceased by husband, Maurice Oickle, then remarried and
was predeceased by her second husband, Alex Taylor.
Betty is survived by her sons, Gregory (Tanya), Grant (Trena) and
Sheldon (Peggy); brother, Bert (Janet); sisters, Claudia and Lorna;
two grandsons, Mark Oickle and Brandon (Gill) Oickle; two step
daughters, Sandra Lantz and Marion Lucas; many nieces and
nephews.
Betty loved her bingo nights out, singing, playing guitar and enjoyed
all adventures. She had a forever love for her dog, Tupper. She also
loved her daily car drives and ice cream. Betty will always be
remembered in the hearts of family and friends for the kind, gentle
person that she was.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Dec 9th 2018 at 3:30 pm in St.
Mark’s Lutheran Church, Middle Cornwall, Rev. Virginia Cookman
officiating. Burial will be at later date.
No visiting hours or flowers as requested by Betty.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church,
Middle Cornwall.
Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Mahone Funeral Home,
P.O. Box 200, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay, NS B0J 2E0
