Obituary Overview
Forever In Our Hearts
Bette was born in Romance, SK as the first of ten children (five brothers and four sisters).
In 1949 she met Irvin and they married in 1951.
Bette was a loving wife for 66 years and a wonderful mother to Glenys, Lorrie and son-in-law Ron.
She also cherished her “grand ones” Geoff, Mitch and Becky, who will miss her dearly.
Bette was a multi-tasking Saskatchewan farm wife; she could take care of the house, drive a combine and do yard work – she enjoyed it all.
She was a tremendous cook and baker who could spend hours reading cookbooks and food magazines for new recipes. Her house was immaculate and well organized, which was of utmost importance.
She collected glassware, artwork, books and pottery – to name a few things – and loved to display her collections. She made quilts, crocheted and did her sewing and mending on a treadle Singer sewing machine.
Bette was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and read about her family’s journey to our country.
She loved to read and many times would say “I started that book and just couldn’t put it down”. The selection of books covered many topics – Pioneer stories, biographies (including Hillary Clinton) and recently the Irish Doctor series.
Bette loved animals, whether dogs, cats, farm animals or wildlife and treated them with love and kindness no matter how big or small.
She supported Nature Saskatchewan and enjoyed many presentations by their group and the Burrowing Owl Centre.
At Bette’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service.
Donations in Bette’s memory may be made to any animal shelter, animal rescue or organization which protects animals or their habitat.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306)-789-8850.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Bette Morgan 2018..
