The death occurred peacefully at Clinton View
Lodge on Wednesday December 26, 2018 of Bernice Viola Deighan (nee
Rogerson) formerly of Emerald and Kensington, aged 89 years. Born in
St. Patrick’s Road, Peakes, PEI on January 22,
1929. Predeceased by husband, Loyola and parents Walter and
Pearl Rogerson. Father of Rosemary (Don) MacKenzie, Halifax, NS;
Elliot (Debbie), Cornwall and Michele (Paul) Montgomery, Park Corner.
Sister of Leslie (Audrey-deceased) Rogerson, Charlottetown, Marion
(John C.) MacDonald, Montreal, Joe (Sandra) Rogerson,
Montreal. Besides her parents she is predeceased by a sister
Geraldine Cullen. Survived by grandchildren Megan (Mark)
Babienko, Jillian & Parker Deighan; Morgan & Mark
(Raquel) MacKenzie and Spencer & Alex Montgomery and Great
Grandchildren Max & Mary Babienko.
Visitation at Kinkora Place on Friday, December 28 from 2 to 5 pm.
Members of St. James CWL will hold a prayer service at the Kinkora
Place on Friday afternoon at 1:30
p.m. Funeral will be held on
Saturday, December 29th at St. James
Church, Summerfield with Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment in the
church cemetery. Donations in Bernice’s memory may be made
to St. James Church Cemetery Fund or Prince County Hospital
Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home,
Kinkora.
