Bernice Carlan

Bernice Carlan passed away at home peacefully on July 23, 2018 at the age of 88. Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Nick and devoted mother of Niki. She was Auntie to many, and always interested in the lives of the people who crossed her path. Her last day was shared with good friends and family. She was an active woman professionally and at home. She ran the Blood Bank for the American Red Cross in Detroit, was an active member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the NDP. Bernice was a good cook, gardener, shopper and a good friend to many.
Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 2-4 pm and from 6-8pm. Panakhyda at 7:30pm. Visiting will continue at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Ukrainian Catholic Church (601 Lake Trail Drive) on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 11am. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Bernice, donations can be made to the Downtown Mission, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sts. Vladimir and Olga’s Church Building Fund.
