It is with great sadness that we the family wish to
announce the death of Mr. Bernard Duke, husband of Patricia
(Aubé) Duke of Beresford, which occurred on Monday,
December 10, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the
age of 88. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Hugh and late
Catherine (Doucet) Duke. Besides his wife of 64 years, he is survived
by his two children: Gary (Jeannine) of Beresford and Susan Guitar
(Mike) of Fredericton. Four grandchildren: Keith, René,
Kevin, and Allison. Six Great grandchildren: Nathan, Vincent, Cameron,
Mya, Brayden and Logan. He is also survived by two sisters: Clara
Collins of Stoney Creek, ON and Lorraine Pappis (James Taylor) of
Lindsay, ON, and many nieces and nephews.
Bernard was predeceased by two brothers: Edgar and
Clarence.
The family will receive relatives and friends at
Heritage Funeral Home in Beresford on Wednesday, December
19th, 2018 from 1 p.m. until time of funeral
which will be celebrated from the St.-Nom-de-Jésus Church
in Beresford at 4 p.m.
In memory of Bernard, donations maybe made to the
Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation for the Dialysis department or a
charity of your choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are in the
care of Heritage Funeral in Beresford.
