Wright, Barry Alan
Barry was born on Aug. 20, 1954 and grew up in Guysborough NS. After a long battle with cancer Barry at last rests peacefully. True to his nature he maintained his independence and fought hard to the end. He did so supported with the devoted love and care of his beloved wife Debbie Doran, and his Mum, Hope Wright of Guysborough, NS
Barry was predeceased by his Dad, Earl Wright of Guysborough.
Barry was a highly skilled and respected stone mason with significant projects to his credit across Canada and Bermuda
He leaves behind his children and step-children Tara, Abhidheya, Keli (Bill Monkman) of BC, Anna (Dr.John Walker), Tokyo Japan, Alisha (Shawn Deforest) and John of Barrie Ont., and Logan Schram of Angus Ont; his grandchildren Violet, Ivy, Zalara and Celestia; his brothers Steve (Moni), Dan (Crystal) of Guysborough NS, Hal (Dr. Alison) of Bonaire GA and sister Rev. Heather of Edmonton AB; his in-laws the Doran family ; and a large and loving extended family.
The family offers heartfelt thanks to all those who have shown such care and kindness along the way especially Dr. Anita Foley, Dr Bell and Karen Hoben and the exceptional staff of the Guysborough Hospital, as well as Dr.MacCormick and wonderful nurses of the St. Martha’s Oncology Unit.
A Celebration of Barry’s life will be held at Wesley United Church Guysborough, NS on Tuesday May 15 at 2pm with Rev. Heather Manual officiating; under the care and direction of MacIsaac’s Funeral Home, Antigonish. Interment of ashes will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. reception to follow in the Wesley Hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, Wesley United Church or a charity of your choice.
