Barry Earl Grant passed away peacefully after a courageous struggle with cancer, at his home in St. Marys on October 25, 2018 in his 76th year.
Survived by his wife Beth (Blackler), married 52 ½ years. Father of Craig and his wife Tania, Mark and his wife Jennifer. Grandfather of P.J., Sara, and Bethany. Brother of Murray and his wife June, Brian, and brother-in-law of Pat and her husband Larry Hossack and remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Earl Grant and parents-in-law Nellie and Jim Blackler.
Barry worked many years with the Bank of Montreal and BDC, which took him and his family to four provinces. He was a respected member of A.A. for 6 years.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. S. St. Marys (519-284-2820) on Monday, Oct. 29, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at ST. JAMES ANGLICAN CHURCH, 65 Church St. S., St. Marys, on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. Interment in St. Marys Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, St. Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation, St. James Anglican Church or the Stratford-Perth Rotary Hospice.
