Barbara Horton 2018

OBITUARY
Barbara Horton
November 13, 1934 – November 26, 2018
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Barbara Horton (nee Davies) at Oak Ridges Retirement Community on November 26, 2018. Her loving husband, Bill Horton, who she was married to for 56 years, was by her side.
Barbara was born in Drummondville, Quebec and moved to Toronto after finishing school to work as a secretary for CBC. She then became a flight attendant prior to getting married, and later enjoyed her work as a Real Estate Agent in the 80’s. She was a talented artist throughout her life, who often gifted her paintings to friends and family. She enjoyed being a grandmother and loved to spoil her “granddogs” Emmy, Jack and Bailey.
Loving mother to Susan Celentano (Adrian), Karen Lowden (Tom) and Lori Maclachlan (John). Also known as Nana, she will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ryan, Michael, Connor and Avery. Daughter to her late parents Edna and Mervyn Davies, originally from Wales, and sister to the late Valerie Pella (nee Davies) of Calgary.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the OSPCA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, Ontario, L4G 6W8 from 1-3pm on December 9th, 2018.
