Audrey Rennie nee McDougall 2018

Born:
December 12th, 1923
Died:
March 9th, 2018
Passed away peacefully at the Huntingdon County Hospital on March 9, 2018 at the age of 94, Mrs. Audrey Rennie nee McDougall wife of the late David Rennie. Predeceased deceased by her brother Ewen and her sisters Frances, Enid, Mona, Kathleen, Helen, Jonete and Wilma. She is survived by her sister, Florence (Ken Robinson), as well as by her four sons: Murray (Marilyn), Donald (Heather), Randy (Debbie), Allwyn (Joanne) and their families. She is lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. Audrey and her beloved David were always surrounded by family and we are all so lucky to have had them as part of our lives for so long. Audrey chose to become an RN and graduated from the Montreal General Hospital. She married David on April 20, 1946 and not long after, gave up her nursing career to care for her parents in her home. She devoted her life to her family as a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother (Nanna) and a great-grandmother who was loved and respected by her whole family. She will be missed by young and old alike. The family would like to thank the attentive caregivers at the Residence Ormstown, Maison La Source Bleue, the Barrie Memorial Hospital and the Huntingdon County Hospital for their exceptional patience, dedication and compassion. Honouring her wishes, there will be no visitation nor funeral service. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Audrey’s memory to the Barrie Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Huntingdon County Hospital, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
