Obituary of Audree Rossini
Passed away peacefully after a brave 20-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. Predeceased by her husband Angelo, the love of her life, (1989). Loving mother to Ric (Rebecca), Randa (Alex), Rae-Ann (Glen), Rodd (Maureen), Rory (Cathy), and Russell (Steve). Proud Grandmother/Nana to Simone, Leigh Ann, Sarah, Melissa, Matthew, Angela, Avery, and Erin, and GG to Scarlett, Alexis, Evan, Oliver, Rose, and Lyla. Survived by her brother Brian and wife Cathy Galbraith of Nipomo, California. Predeceased by her parents and a brother.
Audree volunteered with the May Court Club of Chatham. She honed her love of art with lessons of many sorts at the Thames Gallery and went on to become a well-regarded watercolorist and member of the Studio Ten group of local artists.
She loved to travel and visited places near and far and was always up for an adventure. Despite the increasing ravages of Parkinson’s, she still loved to get out and about. Family and friends would often be conscripted into taking her shopping, or to theatre events, and often, for fine food (counting chocolate, ice cream, and the occasional beer in that list too). Even when recent outings exhausted her, she always lit up with happiness, glad for company and new views.
She is at peace now, reunited with our Dad, and for that we are thankful.
The family is grateful for the care and compassion from Grand Retirement Resort and Riverview Gardens. Cremation has taken place.
Family and friends are invited to join us in a Celebration of Life to be held at Rossini’s Restaurant Chatham, on Monday Oct. 8th from 1:00 until 4:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390) . You may leave your condolences online at www.chathamfuneralhome.com
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Audree
