Audette (Odette) Pigeon (Charbonneau)
Pigeon, Odette Réa (née Charbonneau)
May 3, 1933-November 30, 2018
It is with great sorrow that the family of Odette Pigeon announces her peaceful passing at the Extendicare Timmins on November 30, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of the late Raymond T. Pigeon (2004). Loving mother of Deborah Ann (Peter Bernotas) of Thornhill and Dean (Micheline) of Scarborough. Adored grandmother of Ashley and Devin Bernotas and Nicole (Derrick Bagshaw) and Derek Pigeon. Also survived by her great-granddaughter Hannah Bagshaw, her brother in-law William Pigeon (late Sally). Predeceased by her sisters and their husbands Agathe and René Charbonneau, Georgette and Walter Charbonneau and her nephew (Robert Rochon). Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Linda MacInnes (late Kent), Dale Charbonneau (Elizabeth), Sandra Beaudoin (late Réal), Steven Pigeon and Laura Kelly (Patrick) and their families. Odette was born in Chénéville Québec to Dieudonné Charbonneau and Clémina Servant. Odette was a 32-year employee of The Bank of Nova Scotia. She enjoyed her pets, travelling, sewing, keeping up to date with current events and playing cards, particularly cribbage. But most of all she loved making memories with her family and friends over the last 50 years at the cottage on Little Star Lake. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to her ‘girls’ from the Red Cross who cared for her in her home and to the staff at Extendicare Timmins for their thoughtful care and compassion. We will love you and miss you forever Mom and Gram.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at St. Anthony’s Cathedral.
Interment will follow at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at
