Obituary for Antoon Vander Wielen
Peacefully at the Glengarry Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Antoon Vander Wielen of Maxville; age 94 years. Beloved husband of Joanna Vander Wielen (nee Duyghuisen). Loving father of Adrian (Megan) of Lindsay, Hubert (Linda), Frank (Chantal), Anthony (Jessica), and Marian MacLellan (Robert) all of Maxville, Diana Legault (Alain) and Paul (Peggy) both of Moose Creek, and Linda Lynch (Bernard) of St. Andrew’s. Dear brother of Theo Vander Wielen (Ann) and Erna Van Heumen (late Joe) both of Holland. Predeceased by one brother Frans (late Bets), by three sisters Jetje Derksen (late Jaap), Pieta Smits (late Gerit) and Ria Weijers (late Arnold), and by his parents Arnoldus and Heberdina Vander Wielen (nee Boss). Also survived by 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. South, Maxville (613-527-2898) on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 10:30 am-11:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church, Maxville on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 12 pm. Spring Interment Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Maxville Manor Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Antoon a tree will be planted in a Memory Woods.
