Obituary for Antonietta Fulchini
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Antonietta Fulchini (nee Palermo). Since the passing of her husband Domenico and the challenges she faced with her health, she was still able to maintain her dignity and be graceful right to the end. On Saturday, April 14, 2018, Antonietta died at home surrounded by her loving family, whom she adored. She is survived by her sister Carmela (Vincenzo). Antonietta leaves behind her children: Alfonso (Helen), Dina (Aldo) and grandchildren Michael, Jennifer (Daniel), Kristina (Steve), Stefanie, Jaclyn, Robert (Christina), Lori and her great-grandson Jacob.
She was born in Gesualdo, Avellino, Italy on December 16, 1928. After emigrating from Italy with her husband and children in 1963, they began establishing a new home in Toronto.
Like most immigrants of the time, she worked hard at home as well as out in the work force to help provide for her family. She was very nurturing and her love was reflected through her cooking. It was always joked about that her love was the main ingredient in her meals and she was always trying to offer you more. The first and last questions she would ask you would be if you have eaten “hai mangiato”. She was an active and dedicated member of the “Cammino Neocatecumenale” for thirty four years.
We would like to thank the great support of all our family, extended family and friends through this difficult time.
