Antoine Daigle
1931-2018
RICHIBOUCTO, NB – Antoine Daigle 86, of Richibucto
passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children at the Stella Maris
Hospital, Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born
in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late William Daigle and late
Melanise (Dugas) Daigle. Before retiring, Antoine was a man
of many talents, welder, pipefitter, fabricator to name a
few. Dad’s happiest moments was playing music for
his family and friends.
Antoine will be sadly missed by his six daughters, Linda
Picard (Rob) of Dalmeny, SK, Denise Ouellette (Rheal) of Fort Mac, AB,
Rachelle Guimond (Donald) of St. Louis, Nicole Van Stone (Ed) of
Benalto, AB, Dominique Daigle (Mario) of Cocagne, Francine Lennox
(Kendall) of Edson, AB; five sons, Moïse Daigle (Bonnie) of
Calgary, AB, Normand Daigle (Irene) of Richibucto, Jean-Guy Daigle of
Richibucto, Alain Daigle of Calgary, AB, Stéphane Daigle of
St. Antoine; seventeen grandchildren and eight great
grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Laurette Daigle of Quebec;
one brother, Yvon Daigle (Viola) of Fredericton and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lydia
(Robichaud) Daigle; one sister, Juliette and three brothers, Emery,
Moïse and Ovila.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Thursday at 9:00
am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11:30 am, St. Louis de Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in
Antoine’s memory may be made to the NB Heart &
Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
