Annie Mildred Topley
Annie Mildred Topley, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 92 years.
Annie was born November 6, 1925 in Beaverdell, BC and was raised in the Okanogan area. She was a shoe clerk all her life since she was twenty years old.
She moved a lot through the years. From Chilliwack to Calgary working at Bata Shoes and Kovac Shoe Store. Her last move was to Grande Prairie where she worked at Simpson Shoes and Top Shoe Store. After her retirement, she worked part time at Irv’s Shoes.
Mom loved to dance. She met a lot of special friends and had lots of fun. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Purple.
Annie leaves to mourn, her daughter Lois (Danny) Williams; grandsons: Danny Jr. (Carmon), Stacey (Trish), Larry (Michelle), and Barry (Krista); great-grandchildren: Darcie, Stevie, Ryley, Tara, Darion, Bailly, and Kassidy; great great-grandchildren Jaxson and Lexie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her mother Ellen, husband Emerson, sister Frances, and brothers Walter, Cecil, and Arther.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at 2:00pm, at Salvation Army Church in Grande Prairie (9525 83 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army Community Church (9525 83 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6V1), or to a charity of one’s choice.
