Annie Gibson MacDonald
1925-2018
Annie Gibson MacDonald, of Hawthorne St, Antigonish, passed
away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in St. Martha’s Regional
Hospital, Antigonish. Born December 24, 1925 in Kilwinning, Scotland,
she was a daughter of the late William and Annie (Gibson)
Muir.
Annie worked for many years in the accounting department of
Eastern Dairyfoods , later Scotsburn. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw
puzzles, watching tv and knitting many hats and scarves for the
Knights of Columbus Christmas drives.
Surviving are son David, Mississauga, sisters Emma (Bill)
Wilmot, Oromocto, Margie (Tom) Pitts, Antigonish, brother Bill (Judy)
Muir, Bruce Mines, ON, special nephew and special niece
Brian and Tracey Pitts, Antigonish, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John J., infant son Richard,
sisters Betty, Mary, brother Jim, sisters-in-law Dee, Laila,
brothers-in-law Victor and Tom.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday, January 26, in MacIsaac
Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11:00am
Saturday, January 27 in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Rev. Donald
MacGillivray presiding. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later
date.
Special thanks to Dr. Mary Gorman, and staff of the Geriatric
Unit and Palliative Care volunteers. Your kindness and caring will
always be remembered and appreciated.
