Annie (Ann) C. Bellefleur ne Harding
June 2, 1943 – Aug 17, 2018
Ann passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 75. She was born in Dalhousie, NB. The daughter of Harold and Ellen Harding. She was very proud to call Dalhousie her home and enjoyed so many of the simple things it had to offer. Walks on the beach and in the woods, fall colours, the many offerings of the bay, like a good feed of clams, lobsters and smelts. She enjoyed reading a good book and sharing it with her sisters, playing a competitive game of cards or just visiting over a cup of coffee.
We would always say mom was the Dalhousie Ranger’s 6th man on the ice. She had season tickets for many years; and could be found firmly planted behind the opposing teams bench; cheering on her team while taunting and ringing her cowbell. Ann had even been offered a one way ticket to Mexico from the opposing team. She loved nothing more than to torment.
In mom’s later years she found her passion in caring for the elderly. She did homecare for several years and made them feel very loved and like family. She always enjoyed giving and receiving big hugs. This job was a great way to give and receive.
Ann was predeceased by her sisters Norma Andersen, Shirley Fillmore and Marie Haywood.
She is survived by her children, Terry Bellefleur – Dalhousie, NB, Anne Marie (Earl) Bootsman – Calgary, AB, Lise Bellefleur (John MacKenzie) – Bedford, NS. Her Grandchildren Alyssa ( Nik) Minions ne Bootsman – Calgary, AB , Greg Jonah -Bedford, NS Great Grandchildren, Aria and Sloan Minions. And of course her furry grandkid’s Angel, Begley, Baxter, and Mika. Siblings Irma Hachey, Mina Sanders and Evan (Barbie) Harding.
A celebration of life will be held at the St. John’s United Church in Dalhousie, NB 123 Brunswick Street, August 31st, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. with a reception to follow.
