Penney
With sadness, we, the family of Anna Maria (Divito) Penney,
regret to announce her passing on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at the
Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with her family by her
side.
Born January 14, 1937, in Sydney Mines, she was the daughter
of the late Samuel and Philomena (Marinelli) Divito.
Until retirement, Anna was employed as a ticket agent with
Air Canada for 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima
parish.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Cyril
“Cy”; sisters, Eleanor Belland and Mary Divito; and brother,
Frank.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister,
Theresa and brothers, Anthony and Carmen.
There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be held at
Our Lady of Fatima Church on Thursday, December 6 at 11 a. m., with
Rev. Patrick O’Neil officiating. Interment in Resurrection
Cemetery.

as palliative care for the extraordinary care and compassion provided
to Anna and Cy.
